A Double Award Win for Cubo!
On Thursday 29th June, members of the Cubo senior team threw on their glad rags and attended the awards ceremony for the Midlands Family Business Awards 2023. In their 14th year, the organisation is the only independent not for profit awards that champions family businesses. What’s more, they are a keen supporter of Move Against Cancer, a wonderful charity that promotes the benefits of exercise/movement, both physically and mentally, when living with and beyond cancer.
Held at Kelham Hall, a stunning stately home set within sprawling parkland, the evening kicked off with a drinks reception sponsored by John Pye Auctions, and the opportunity to mingle with fellow finalists. The Great Hall was the venue for the awards ceremony itself, a grand space that succeeded in setting the scene for the evening ahead. Between courses of the gastronomic dinner, awards were presented to those who excel in diverse fields, from digital to manufacturing, sustainability and more.
It was Cubo’s very great honour to take to the stage twice to receive awards, namely the ‘Rising Star’ award, sponsored by The Wilson Organisation, and then later a commendation in the ‘Construction & Property Excellence’ category, sponsored by Buckles Solicitors LLP. Behind the scenes at Cubo, many people work tirelessly to achieve the success we’ve enjoyed since we launched in 2020, and we couldn’t be prouder of Team Cubo right now!
